Inspired by the original Tahitian "pareau" or "pareo", Kahala introduced this famous print in the 1960s. As early as 1810, this cotton fabric came from Tahiti and left its impressions on many artists and traveled royalty. French painter Paul Gaugin painted many of his primitive lifestyle pieces with women draped in the bold and colorful pareos. Today the pareo print is an icon, made all the more famous by the success of Kahala's print. One of our longest running designs, we offer this print in 10 fantastic colors for both men and boys. This style is reverse printed for a subdued color effect.
