Shaping Room

Shaping Room represents the 2010s in Kahala’s 90th Anniversary Through the Decades Collection. Drawn from the sketches in a shaper’s production notes, the print captures vintage and modern surfboards through the eyes of their creator. It’s an ode to the craftsmen who believe every board is an extension of its rider. Its became one of Kahala’s longest-running styles.

This reissue is cut from our signature cotton broadcloth, a classic aloha shirt fabric known for its crisp structure and breathable comfort. It’s finished with coconut buttons, a matched front and pocket, and a vintage-inspired collar, the same details that have defined Kahala shirts for decades. Made in Hawai’i in Slate and Hawaiian Salt, with Slate also available in boy’s sizes.

Throughout 2026, Kahala is reissuing one archival print each month. Each represents a defining decade in our history, honoring 90 years of aloha through designs rooted in their time and enduring in style.
