Duke’s Day, an addition to our Kahala x Duke Kahanamoku® collection, captures the kinetic poetry of island life through simple sketches—where longboarders crouch low in deep pockets, surfers with alaia boards ride upright with grace, and waves are etched with the trails of agile turns and cutbacks. On shore, palms bend with the breeze while outrigger canoes slip silently across the horizon. At the heart of it all stands Duke Kahanamoku, the original waterman and Ambassador of Aloha, his silhouette a tribute to fluid strength and effortless style.

The vintage-inspired button-down collar, French front, and coconut buttons honor traditional aloha shirt silhouettes, while a matched pocket adds a refined touch. The bold, saturated colors are achieved with discharge printing, a technique that extracts dye from the fabric to reveal intricate motifs. Proudly made in Hawai‘i, Duke's Day embodies the Ambassador of Aloha in every stitch.
