The Classic American Shirt
We're stoked to partner with classic American shirtmaker, Gitman Vintage, who like us, finds the fun in reimagining and reinventing heritage designs through modern fabrication and silhouettes. Our debut collaboration brings together the best of both worlds, with Duke's Pareo, our iconic 1960s print, adding a touch of aloha to the craft of their classic American made shirts.
Launched in 2008, Gitman Vintage pays tribute to the brand’s rich heritage with a unique interpretation of the past. Each season, GV returns to the company archives to select fabrics from old line books, tweaking them with dyes and reworking patterns, scale and construction. Their philosophy has always been to bridge the old and the new, so they continue to honor the importance of the button down Oxford and classic chambray while continually pushing the boundaries of a traditional shirt-based collection with everything from pineapple prints to Japanese indigos and rip-stop nylon.
