As early as 1810, pareo came from Tahiti and left its impressions on many artists and traveled royalty. French painter Paul Gauguin painted many of his primitive lifestyle pieces with women draped in bold and colorful pareos. As a forerunner to the traditional tapa cloth, pareo made its way to the shores of the Hawaiian islands in the early 1930's, and its unique hand-painted likeness continues in this Classic Pareo design, with large floral imagery.

Now you can enjoy one of our most iconic prints in a double-sided microfiber towel. Super lightweight and compact, these make the perfect travel companions. Made with 100% recycled polyester, these towels are highly absorbent, fast-drying, and sand-free.
